Why Saltgator's Low-Temp Formula Changes Desktop Molding.

Basic Features

  • Low-temperature injection, desktop-safe: Raw material is plasticized at around 160°C–175°C, with injection temperatures between 120–160°C — much lower than traditional injection molding. It can be directly used with 3D-printed molds made of PETG or resin, making it safe for desktop use and reducing burn risk.
  • Fast cooling and forming: Parts cool and solidify in about 3 minutes after injection, enabling continuous production.
  • Low odor, low irritation: Almost no pungent smell during heating, suitable for use in homes, classrooms, or other enclosed spaces.
  • Soft yet tough: Finished parts are flexible and elastic — bendable and stretchable without breaking easily, ideal for soft structures, toys, cushioning parts, etc.
  • Material base: Saltgator material is PVC-based, phthalate-free, environmentally friendly, and offers excellent injection stability and surface compatibility.

High Customizability

  • Multiple hardness options: Supports a hardness range of 0A–40A, allowing you to choose the desired softness.
  • Supports pigments and special effects: Can be mixed with pigments, pearlescent powder, and fluorescent powder for personalized visual effects.
  • Multi-color injection: Enables creative techniques like color-blocking, gradients, segmented, or multi-channel injection.

Material Compatibility & Reusability

  • Reheatable and reusable: Leftover material can be cooled and reheated for reuse, reducing waste.
  • Wide material compatibility for more possibilities:
    • PETG, PLA and other 3D printing materials don’t easily bond with soft gel, making them excellent for mold use and easy demolding.
    • ABS, PP, PVC and other rigid materials bond well with soft gel, allowing direct production of soft–hard hybrid structures without glue — ideal for making tires, suction cups, and similar parts.
